NoteWave Bluetooth Controller - Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy for NoteWave
Effective date: [26 May 2026]
NoteWave ("the app", "we", "our") is a remote-control app for the NoteWave MIDI controller hardware, published by [Developer / Company Name] ("we"). This policy explains what the app does — and does not do — with your information.
The short version
NoteWave does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything the app does happens on your device and over a direct Bluetooth connection to your own NoteWave hardware. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no servers.
What the app accesses
- Bluetooth. NoteWave uses Bluetooth Low Energy solely to discover and communicate with the NoteWave controller hardware you own. No Bluetooth data is sent off-device or shared with anyone. iOS requires us to ask for Bluetooth permission for this to work.
- Track names from your hardware. When you connect, the app reads the list of MIDI file names from the SD card inside your NoteWave controller so you can browse and choose tracks. These names stay on your device and are not transmitted anywhere else.
What the app does NOT access or collect
- No name, email address, phone number, or account information
- No location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or health data
- No usage analytics, crash reporting, or advertising identifiers
- No cookies, tracking, or third-party SDKs
Children
NoteWave does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
Third parties
The app does not integrate any third-party services, analytics providers, or advertising networks. The only thing it talks to is your own NoteWave hardware over Bluetooth.
Data retention and deletion
Because the app does not collect or store personal data on any server, there is nothing to retain or delete on our side. Any preferences saved by the app live only on your device, and uninstalling the app removes them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected in an app update or on the App Store listing.

Two practical notes for the App Store submission:
- In App Store Connect → App Privacy, you'll be asked to fill in the "data collection" questionnaire. With this app the answer to every category is "Data Not Collected" — pick that for all sections. The policy above is consistent with that declaration.
- If you ever add crash reporting, analytics, or a backend later, this policy needs updating before that version ships, or Apple will flag the mismatch.
